Now you Know – it’s Head to Toe…
When you’re in Vegas for a visit, many unforeseen events can take you out of the game. Whether you’re here for a convention, some unique experiences, sightseeing or pool and fun in the sun, here are some simple tips to address unexpected pain.
Sole Searchers: Many shoes don’t support your collapsing arch enough. Those dressier shoes also provide little outer sole cushion. Casino floors, sidewalks and convention spaces have little in the way of cushiony protection; causing foot soreness and cramping. Pick up some arch support inserts and try taking a seat every 30 minutes of standing or walking.
Thrills not Spills: Busy traffic and overwhelming crowds are unavoidable. Be sure to put down that phone while walking (& driving!) and follow pedestrian signs/signals. Keep your eyes up and stay alert to avoid coming face-to-face(plant) with curbs, cabs or the careless.
Straight to Your Head: The sounds, heat, overstimulation and exhaustion can result in some pretty bad throbbin to your noggin. If rest and over-the-counter (OTC) remedies are not an option for you, consider an ice pack or a few minutes away from your ‘wolf-pack’ for some quick meditation.
Remember to bring H2O everywhere you go and make eating regularly a priority. If vacation pain persists – visit a Sunrise Health facility.
